Within the scope of Shoulder to Shoulder (Omuz Omuza) Project carried out by Tunceli Security Directorate, the 5 wheelchairs provided in cooperation with the Solidarity Association for the Physically Disabled were delivered to citizens with disabilities.

Governor Hakan Yusuf Güner, who spoke at the ceremony held in the garden of the Provincial Security Directorate, said that they were trying to raise awareness by organizing various events due to the Disability Awareness Week.

Governor Güner stated that they have carried out activities with all related institutions in order to overcome the problems of all the disabilities in the province, and added, "I wish that all institutions who don't forget the problems of people with disabilities and are concerned about these problems to bring nice projects into life. I especially would like that local governments plan walking areas and traffic-zoning for disabled people throughout their construction-improvement projects and municipality services, and that the engineers responsible for drawing the projects of the buildings to make planning in a way that allows free access for our fellows with physical disabilities.”

Provincial Police Chief Fahrettin Şen reminded that the "Shoulder to Shoulder Project" was launched last year and added, "As the Provincial Security Directorate, we are always on the side of people with disabilities and we will support them to the highest extent possible. Today we live in the happiness of delivering 5 wheelchairs, 3 of which are power-operated, to our fellows with disabilities who are in need.”
