Purpose Behind the Foundation of the Association
The Solidarity Association for the Physically Disabled is a public-benefit organization. The Association is founded with a view to contributing to the educational and healthcare needs of all orthopedic disabled people of the Republic of Turkey, and making sure they are in social solidarity. The Association takes actions for disabled people within its body regardless of religion, language, race, origin and gender.
It is cooperating with institutions and individuals regarding the work to be done for the orthopedically-handicapped. It conducts educational, integrating and therapeutic studies in order to make the orthopedically-handicapped gain the mental and physical power they need. By opening work areas and workshops and providing necessary training, it aims to re-integrate the physically disabled into society by bringing them from the status of consumer to the producing individual. It also ensures our disabled friends get equal share of country resources with their productivity.
It is among the priorities of our association to be advocates of the rights and wishes of the disabled, to be followers at the same time, to provide rehabilitation of orphans and needy people, to provide the necessary equipment for the orthopedically disabled and to support them and their families by providing financial and spiritual help.
Representing the people with disabilities, BEDD is involved in humanitarian and peaceful activities through joint social activities and cooperation with non-governmental organizations. Our Association continues to work to ensure that orthopedically disabled, like everybody in society, have a personality that can be an example of humanity by supporting them to take part in every field.
